The Bear River meanders through the expansive Gentile Valley in this modern topographic study of southeastern Idaho. The landscape is defined by the agricultural infrastructure of the Gentile Valley Canal and a network of rural roads such as Smith Rd and Rasmussen Ln that connect the valley floor to the surrounding heights. To the west, the Fish Creek Range and Portneuf Range rise sharply, dissected by drainages like Right Fork Mill Canyon and Mine Hollow, while the eastern portion of the map is dominated by the broad floor of Gem Valley.
