The Baldies and Bald Mtn dominate this high-altitude landscape in northeastern Nevada, where the drainage systems of Granite Cr and Mill Cr define the rugged topography. The convergence of the Delano Mountains and the Goose Creek Mountains in the southern portion of the map creates a complex network of canyons and ridges. Local movement through the area is channeled by natural features such as Signboard Pass and The Narrows, which have historically dictated passage for those traversing the high desert between seasonal water sources like Buck Spring.
