Okefenokee Wilderness dominates this corner of South Georgia, where the borders of Clinch, Ware, and Charlton Counties meet amidst a complex network of wetlands and islands. The geography is defined by the headwaters of the Suwannee River, including its North Fork, and the engineering of the Suwannee River Sill within the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. Numerous hammocks and islands rise from the Okefenokee Swamp, such as Macks Island, Cravens Hammock, and the large landform known as The Pocket.
