The Wolf Mountains anchor the southern half of this Big Horn County landscape, where deep drainages carve through high Montana ridge country. This 2020 survey documents a complex network of seasonal and perennial watercourses that define the regional movement and land use, including the headwaters of Little Thompson Cr and Thompson Cr. The northern sections are dominated by the Reno Cr drainage system, with the N Fork Reno Cr and S Fork Reno Cr converging toward the northwest corner. This area remains largely defined by its natural topography and traditional cattle country infrastructure, visible in the few arterial routes like Reno Creek Rd and Su Rd. The map provides a clear look at the intricate hydrography of the region, including smaller tributaries such as Dipping Vat Cr and Middle Fork Davis Cr.
