The Vermilion Cliffs and Shinarump Cliffs define this high-desert region of the Kanab Plateau along the Utah-Arizona border. The landscape is deeply incised by complex drainage systems, including Johnson Canyon and the multi-branched Willis Spring network. Near the eastern edge, Johnson Wash passes by the Johnson Cem, a critical site for local genealogical research in this sparsely settled corridor.
