Tijuana John Peak and the surrounding Toana John Mountains define this high-altitude corner of Elko County, Nevada. The landscape is shaped by the complex drainages of Trout Cr, which winds through the central and western sections of the map, and Willow Cr to the northeast. To the southwest, the Granite Range emerges, adding to the varied topography of this section of the Great Basin. This 2018 survey documents a remote and largely undeveloped environment, where the primary human identifiers are the Public Land Survey System boundaries such as t46n r65e and t45n r66e. The lack of roads or settlements emphasizes the primitive nature of the terrain, making it a distinct study of landforms and natural hydrology, including Cow Cr in the northern reaches.
