Timothy Lake dominates the northeastern corner of this high-altitude landscape within the Mount Hood National Forest, where the waters of the Oak Grove Fork Clackamas River are harnessed for hydroelectric storage. The topography is defined by significant elevations, including Peavine Mtn and Rock Butte, with numerous water sources like Aquarius Spring and Rock Spring feeding the drainage basins. A section of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail winds through the eastern edge of the quadrangle, following the terrain above the lake shore.
