1956 Map of Mt. Wilson

USGS Topo · Published 1958

About this map

Mt Hood National Forest and the Warm Springs Indian Reservation converge in this mid-century survey of the high Cascades. The landscape is defined by its transit history, following the historic Barlow Road as it winds past Klingers Camp and Barlow Crossing Forest Camp. This route was a critical overland passage, and the map shows its relationship to the newer Wapinitia Highway and the Skyline Road which traverses the ridge near Abbot Pass.
