The Middle Branch Grass River and South Branch Grass River dominate this portion of the northern Adirondack State Park, a landscape defined by its complex waterway network and dense forest cover. Located within the townships of Clare, Colton, and Clifton, the area shows minimal human settlement, centered largely on the small outpost at Newbridge and the isolated Canton Farm.
