Toothpick Ridge and the surrounding drainage basins of Coconino County define this high-elevation landscape. The area is characterized by a network of seasonal water catchments essential for ranching and wildlife, including Pigeon Tank, Slide Tank, and East Side Tank. A small reliable water source, Table Rock Spring, is found near the geological prominence of Table Rock, where the terrain drops into Table Rock Canyon.
