Topaz Mountain and the eastern slopes of the Thomas Range define this high desert terrain in Juab County. This 2011 survey captures a landscape shaped by drainage patterns and arid land features, with Starvation Canyon and Topaz Valley cutting through the western portion of the quadrangle. The central and eastern reaches are characterized by broad depressions and ridges, including Antelope Ridge, Little Valley, and Horse Valley. The arid character of the region is emphasized by features like Dead Horse Tank and the seasonal paths of Picture Rock Wash and Little Valley Wash. Human infrastructure is sparse, dominated by the path of the Weiss Hwy as it traverses the lower plains south of Pismire Knolls, providing a primary route through this remote section of the Great Basin.
