Colville Indian Reservation lands dominate the western bank of the Columbia River as it makes a sharp bend through this high desert landscape. The terrain is defined by a series of deep drainage features including Trefry Canyon, Henderson Canyon, and Phil Canyon, which cut through the plateaus toward the river. To the east, the settlement of Del Rio and the nearby Del Rio School anchor a rural road network that includes Trefy Rd NE and Hayden McKee Rd NE.
