Twentymile Hill rises above a high desert landscape defined by essential water management in this northern Arizona survey. The terrain is marked by an extensive network of ranching infrastructure, where named reservoirs such as Coyote Tank, Cement Tank, and Sixteenmile Tank provided vital resources for livestock. Drainage patterns are dominated by Chevelon Creek and Clear Creek, which cut through the arid plains toward the Little Colorado River basin.
