Wrangell-Saint Elias National Preserve occupies the northeastern corner of this Copper River Census Area survey, where the glacial waters of the Copper River meet the Nadina River. This high-latitude landscape is defined by the critical infrastructure of the Alaska Pipeline and the Richardson Highway, which run parallel through the central corridor of the sheet. These man-made lifelines navigate a complex drainage system fed by Willow Creek and Rock Creek.
