To the west, the Reservation Boundary follows the winding path of Birch Creek, separating private land from the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. This borderland is defined by the sharp transition between the level plains near the lake and the more deeply incised terrain of Dupuyer Coulee. Evidence of local industry and infrastructure is present in the form of several Gravel Pits and a Floodgate along the canal system, illustrating the ongoing modification of the terrain to manage seasonal water flow.
