Valley View and Hegins anchor the agricultural and residential landscape of this western Schuylkill County valley, where the terrain is defined by the sharp, parallel ridges of Line Mountain and Mahantango Mtn. The valley floor is crisscrossed by a network of rural roads such as Creek Rd and Deep Cr, connecting small, long-established settlements like Sacramento and Hepler. These communities maintain their distinct identities even as the surrounding landscape remains largely wooded on the higher elevations of Good Spring Mtn.
