The agricultural plains of Garfield County south of Enid are defined by a grid of rural roads and the north-south corridor of S Van Buren St. The town of Waukomis serves as a local hub, with its residential streets and the nearby Waukomis Cem situated along the plains. North of town, the sprawling installation of Vance Air Force Base occupies a significant portion of the landscape, complete with its network of specialized roads like Woodring Pkwy and Gott Rd.

Water is distributed through numerous meandering seasonal streams, most notably the colorfully named Hell and Gone Cr and Buffalo Cr in the south, while Spring Cr and Turkey Cr drain the western reaches near the small settlement of Imo. The infrastructure transitions from the urbanized southern edge of Enid, featuring Meadowlake Reservoir, to the open ranch land evidenced by the Traynor Ranch Airport.
