Weeping Water sits at the northern edge of this Nebraska landscape, where the town's street grid meets the winding course of Weeping Water Creek. The surrounding terrain is defined by a dense network of hydrologic features and agricultural divisions. To the south, the N-Fork Little Nemaha River and the S Br Weeping Water Cr carve through the prairie, accompanied by a significant series of modern water management structures including Wilson Cr Reservoir 12-16 and Wilson Cr Reservoir 12-9B. These reservoirs illustrate the region's managed drainage system south of the Cass Co Otoe Co line.
