Mount Cameron and the Cameron Glaciers dominate this high-elevation wilderness landscape, where the headwaters of several major drainages begin their descent. The high-altitude terrain is defined by a network of steep ridgelines and essential mountain passes, including Grand Pass, Gray Wolf Pass, and Hayden Pass. These natural corridors provide the only feasible transit across the peaks of the Olympic range, connecting the deep valleys of the Dosewallips River and the Gray Wolf River.
