The Adams County and Washington County boundary line divides this agricultural landscape, defined by a network of drainage basins and rural section roads. The northern reach is anchored by the Swan Cem and the small airfield of Morris Airport, located near the intersection of Winview Mile Rd and Beth Ave. The hydrology of the area is dominated by the seasonal paths of Wetzel Cr, Beaver Cr, and Badger Cr, which carve shallow depressions through the prairie. This 2022 survey illustrates a classic High Plains grid of county roads, such as Meridian Rd and Co Rd 18, which maintain the precise geometry of the Public Land Survey System while navigating the gentle elevation changes of the creek valleys.
