Williana serves as a central point in this part of Grant Parish, positioned where the terrain transitions between the flats of Big Prairie to the northwest and the rising elevations of Johns Hills to the east. Much of the landscape is defined by the managed woodlands of the Kisatchie National Forest, which is crisscrossed by a network of drainage systems including Saddle Bayou, Log Bayou, and the aptly named Double-Branches.
