1954 Map of Windy Peak

USGS Topo · Published 1955

About this map

Windy Peak rises as the central landmark in this mid-century survey of the high mountain terrain where the Kenosha Mountains meet the Tarryall Mountains. The landscape is a network of isolated homesteads and high-altitude valleys, including Wigwam Park and the broad Bluestem Meadows. Throughout the Pike National Forest, travel is largely restricted to a series of Pack Trails and (Jeep) Trails that follow the drainages of Wigwam Creek and East Lost Park Creek.
