Wren Peak and Junction Ridge dominate the high-altitude landscape of this eastern Fresno County region. The terrain is defined by the deep carving of the Middle Fork Kings River, which snakes through the western portion of the quadrangle past Yucca Point and the dramatic Horseshoe Bend. This 2012 survey illustrates a wilderness area characterized by numerous high-country meadows and drainage systems, including Tornado Meadow, Kennedy Meadow, and Deer Meadow.
