This landscape centers on the small settlement of Yampai and the nearby Pica, areas historically linked to the rail corridor and cattle ranching. The terrain transitions from the deep incisions of Yampai Canyon in the west to the open expanse of the Seventyfour Plains and Aubrey Valley in the east.
