The high desert landscape of the Trans-Pecos comes into focus on this modern topographic study of the area just north of Alpine. The terrain is dominated by the dramatic elevation changes of Musquiz Canyon in the northwest, where Musquiz Cr flows through the ranchlands. Near the center of the sheet, the Jeff Davis Co Brewster Co boundary line cuts diagonally across the range, marking a significant administrative division in this part of West Texas.
