Rio Bonito and the Bonito Lake reservoir system dominate the northern high-elevation terrain of this Lincoln County survey. The landscape is defined by its dramatic relief, with peaks such as Monjeau Peak and Sierra Blanca rising above a dense network of canyons, including Schoolhouse Canyon and Ferguson Canyon. Within the Lincoln National Forest, small mountain settlements and residential developments like Alto, Angus, and Sun Valley are concentrated along the winding watercourses of Little Creek and Eagle Creek.
