York Cem and the small settlement of Arah anchor this rural West Texas landscape during the early 2010s. The terrain is defined by a dendritic drainage network, with Gavett Cr and Mooar Cr carving paths through the plains toward the southeast. The elevation is relatively uniform, save for the prominent rise of Hathaway Hill in the eastern portion of the quadrangle.
