Lost River Range peaks dominate this section of the Challis National Forest in Butte County. The landscape is defined by a series of deep drainages, including Cedarville Canyon and Brier Canyon, that cut through the high terrain. The eastern edge of the map descends toward the Little Lost River Valley, where the steep topography of the mountains meets the more open valley floor.
