Arlington and Marysville anchor the southern and eastern edges of this Snohomish County survey, which documents the developed corridor where the Stillaguamish River meets its major tributaries. The landscape is defined by the braided waterways of the river valley, including the winding Cook Slough and the delta-like formation known as The Island. To the north, the terrain rises toward Prestliens Bluff, while the lowlands are occupied by established communities such as Silvana, Lakewood, and Smokey Point.
