Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore occupies the northern reaches of this landscape, where the Hurricane River and Rhody Cr drain toward the Lake Superior coast. The interior is defined by a dense network of inland waters, including the clusters of West Branch Lakes, Porky Lakes, and the uniquely shaped Cloverleaf Lake. These water bodies are connected by a system of county roads and trails, such as the Rhody Creek Trl, which navigate the wetlands and forests of the Alger and Schoolcraft county line.
