The village of Augusta serves as a focal point near the confluence of Augusta Creek, while the eastern portion of the map is dominated by the sprawling suburban and industrial landscape of Springfield and Battle Creek. A significant portion of the central terrain is dedicated to federal installations, most notably the Fort Custer National Cemetery and the CTC Fort Custer Training Center, which occupies a large swath of undeveloped land north of Territorial Road.
