Holly Springs National Forest encompasses much of this landscape north of Oxford, Mississippi, where the headwaters of numerous creeks carve through the northern hills. The terrain is defined by the drainages of Yellow Leaf Creek, Graham Mill Creek, and Lee Creek, creating a network of ridges and valleys that shaped early settlement patterns. This 2015 survey shows a rural interface where the growing northern edge of Oxford and Woodland Hills Estates meet established timberlands and small family burial grounds.
