The Bighorn National Forest landscape across the Big Horn and Sheridan County line is defined by dramatic elevation changes and a dense network of watercourses and alpine trails. This portion of the Bighorn Mountains includes prominent high points such as Bald Mtn, Little Bald Mtn, and Duncum Mtn, which transition into the fertile drainage of the Little Bighorn Valley. The terrain is deeply incised by numerous creeks, including the Little Bighorn River, Bear Cr, and Half Ounce Cr.
