Glade Park sits at the southern edge of this high-desert landscape, where the plateau begins to break into the complex drainages of the Colorado National Monument. The terrain is defined by dramatic geological features, including the arched Windows of Pollock Canyon and the isolated monoliths of Battleship Rock and Bottle Rock. These landmarks rise above a network of deep incisions like Rattlesnake Canyon and Devils Canyon, which drain north toward the river valley beyond the sheet's edge.
