Bald Eagle Cr and its major tributary Beech Cr define the central geography of this central Pennsylvania landscape. The valley floor is marked by the sprawling Foster Joseph Sayers Lake, a significant reservoir created by the Sayers Dam. To the south, the village of Lamar sits near the confluence of Little Fishing Cr and Fishing Cr, an area historically rich with natural springs including Lamar Spring, Crystal Spring, and the industrially named Washington Furnace Spring.

The gap-riven topography is evident at Beech Creek Gap and Eagleville Gap, where roads and water find passage through the ridges. Smaller settlements like Blanchard, Clintondale, and Eagleville are connected by a network of timber and farm routes such as Saw Mill Rd and David Farm Trl.
