The Middle Fork Lobe Bremner Glacier and the larger Bremner Glacier dominate this high-altitude landscape in the southern interior of Alaska. This 2024 map documents the glaciated terrain where the Chugach Mountains meet the vast protected expanse of the Wrangell-St. Elias Wilderness. The area is characterized by massive ice fields and steep elevation changes, with the boundary between the Chugach Census Area and the Copper River Census Area running through the glacial peaks. The map provides a detailed view of these ice bodies as they appeared in the early 21st century, illustrating the complex drainage patterns and topographic contours of one of the most remote wilderness regions in North America.
