Biardstown and the surrounding prairies of Lamar County are defined by a network of farm-to-market roads and small agrarian communities south of Paris. The landscape is etched by north-flowing drainages including Auds Cr and Cherry Cr, which feed into the Red River basin. This 2019 survey documents a series of established settlements and junctions such as Glory, Atlas, and Broadway, providing a clear view of the rural settlement patterns in East Texas.
