Carson sits at the southern edge of this high-elevation landscape, where the Wind River and Little Wind River converge. The terrain is defined by prominent peaks and ridges within the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, including the namesake Big Huckleberry Mtn and the uniquely named Gobblers Knob. A complex network of watercourses, such as Panther Creek and Bear Creek, carves through the forest, illustrating the drainage patterns of the Cascades.
