The Burbank Hills and Tunnel Spring Mountains dominate this high-desert landscape in western Utah, where a series of mountain passes once facilitated travel across the arid basin. Historically significant crossings like Big Jensen Pass and Little Jensen Pass sit at the center of the sheet, while Cowboy Pass and Juniper Pass provide additional routes through the high ground. Drainage patterns are clearly defined by seasonal channels such as Deadman Wash, North Juniper Wash, and South Juniper Wash, which flow toward the lower elevations of Antelope Valley. The remote nature of this terrain is emphasized by the sparse infrastructure, consisting primarily of unpaved routes like Deadman Rd and Cowboy Rd, which follow the natural contours of the hills to connect these high-altitude passes.
