Little Wall Cr and Crooked Cr wind through this corner of Musselshell County, where the land is defined by the significant geological depression of Devils Basin. The drainage patterns here create a complex network of coulees and ridges, a classic example of the breaks terrain in central Montana. Human presence is marked primarily by infrastructure supporting the Sunset Hutterite Colony, evidenced by transport links such as Colony Rd and N Colony Way. Alec Roy Rd provides further access into the southern reaches of the quadrangle. This 2020 map documents the rural road system and natural hydrology of the Big Wall area before any significant modern alterations to the pastoral landscape.
