Bird Ranch Store serves as the primary landmark in this section of the Texas Panhandle, situated along the northern boundary of the survey. The landscape is defined by the high plains topography at the meeting point of Hartley Co and Moore Co. Industrial activity is concentrated on oil and gas extraction, with numerous sites including Gas Well 3810 and Oil Well 3825 dotting the terrain. An extensive network of unimproved roads and a prominent Pipeline cut through the landscape, connecting these remote extraction points. Numerous water features, such as Well 3812 and Well 3842, are scattered throughout, highlighting the essential infrastructure required for ranching and industry in this arid environment during the early 1960s.
