Bruneau Desert dominates the landscape of this high-elevation Idaho quadrangle, defined by its dramatic topographic shifts and water management features. The area is marked by distinctive volcanic and erosional landmarks, including the prominent rises of Sailor Cap Butte and Black Butte. Surface water is sparse but critical, channeled through the drainage of Pot Hole Cr which feeds into the Pot Hole Reservoir tucked within the walls of Pot Hole Canyon.
