Bloom Peak and McNeeley Peak anchor a high-altitude landscape along the divide between the Kaniksu National Forest and the Coeur d'Alene National Forest. This section of the Bitterroot Range, as it appeared in 2017, is defined by sharp topographic reliefs and an intricate network of drainages including Rabbit Run, McNeeley Cr, and Windfall Cr. The map captures the MONTANA-IDAHO state line as it traces the crests of Eightyseven Mile Peak and Lost Peak, a boundary that also separates Sanders Co from Shoshone Co.
