Boistfort Peak stands as the dominant topographical feature in this high-elevation region where Cowlitz, Lewis, and Wahkiakum counties converge. The 2013 survey illustrates a landscape defined by sharp drainages and peaks, including the prominent Boistfort Peak Lookout and Ferrier Peak. The area serves as a significant watershed, giving rise to numerous tributaries such as Stillman Cr and Hanlan Cr, which carve through the terrain. To the south, the headwaters of the E Fork Elochoman River and the S Fork Chehalis River begin their descent. Smaller landmarks like Sure Shot Mtn, Little Onion, and Clinton Knob provide further points of reference for navigating this complex network of ridges and creek beds, which remains largely undeveloped except for the legacy of timber-related mountain access.
