The Missouri Kansas Texas railroad cuts through the southwestern corner of this Montague County landscape, anchoring the small settlement of Bonita. The surrounding terrain is a network of creek drainages including Cottonwood Creek, Turkey Creek, and Farmers Creek, punctuated by significant petroleum activity within the Bowers Oil Field. Numerous oil wells are scattered across the quadrangle, particularly concentrated around the northern branches and near Mount View.

Family and community history is well-preserved through several rural landmarks, such as Shady Grove Ch and a collection of local burying grounds including Union Cem, Redbud Cem, and Reed Cem. The map identifies dispersed communities like Corinth and Capps Corner, the latter serving as a crossroads near a local substation. In the southeast, Camp Letoli and Mountain Creek Cem sit near the rugged elevations of the namesake Mountain Creek.
