Boundary Mountain and the high ridges of the Kettle River Range define this northern Ferry County landscape along the international border. The drainage network is particularly dense here, with North Fork Lone Ranch Creek and South Fork Day Creek carving deep paths through the high country. To the southeast, several distinct peaks including Green Mountain, Marble Mountain, and Rocky Mountain rise above the timbered slopes.
