The Brazos River carves a deep path through the landscape of the Palo Pinto and Parker county line, creating a series of dramatic geographic bends and points. This 2016 survey shows the river winding past Polk Stalk Bend, Littlefield Bend, and Meeks Bend, with the prominent elevation of Inspiration Point overlooking the valley below. The area’s rural history is preserved through several family and community burial grounds, including Grassdale Cem, Brannon Cem, and Poe Prairie Cem.
