The Capay Valley and the high ridges of the inner Coast Range define this portion of the Napa and Yolo County border. The settlement of Brooks serves as a primary point of reference in the northeast, where Brooks Creek flows toward the valley floor. To the south, the small community of Cadenasso sits near the intersection of several local routes, including County Road 79 and County Road 80. This area is characterized by steep drainage systems and prominent peaks, most notably Berryessa Peak and Scribner Mountain, which tower over the eastern reaches of Lake Berryessa.
