Lorena and Bruceville-Eddy anchor the western portion of this Central Texas landscape, where the Interstate 35 corridor follows the historical path of settlement along the boundary between McLENNAN CO and FALLS CO. The terrain is defined by the branching drainage systems of N Cow Bayou and S Cow Bayou, which flow eastward toward the small community of Mooreville. Numerous conservation reservoirs, such as Soil Conservation Service Site 28 Reservoir, indicate the intentional management of these waterways to support the surrounding agricultural lands.
