Bull Lake dominates the central landscape of this Fremont County quadrangle, where the water is hemmed in by the rising slopes of Bull Ridge to the south. This 2015 survey illustrates a rugged high-desert environment defined by significant hydrological features and irrigation infrastructure, such as the Winchester Ditch near the Wind River in the northeast corner. The terrain is marked by sharp elevation changes between Stagner Ridge and the broad, open expanse of Bighorn Flat. A network of seasonal waterways, including N Fork Sage Cr, Middle Fork Sage Cr, and S Fork Sage Cr, carves through the southern sections of the map. Access to the lake's eastern shore is provided by Bull Lake Rd, which winds through the area's complex topography near the Lily Pond and Winchester Draw.
